Chef Eva Volmar is an American, Haitian‑born culinary professional, entrepreneur, and mother of two whose journey reflects resilience, purpose, and unwavering dedication. Born in a small town in Haiti and raised in Port‑au‑Prince, she completed her high school education in the capital before studying diplomatic secretariat and journalism. Her early career led her through several Haitian enterprises, where she built a foundation of discipline and service, until life demanded a new chapter.

When her son became critically ill, Eva traveled to the United States to ensure he received the care he needed. Through strength, faith, and perseverance, she supported him through a battle with cancer, a battle they ultimately won. After this life‑changing victory, she moved from Miami to New York, where she has lived for many years. She worked across various industries before pursuing studies in nursing and, ultimately, the field that had always called to her: culinary arts.

Driven by passion, she completed her culinary degree and transformed her vision into reality by establishing a restaurant in Brooklyn, one built on heritage, flavor, and a story worth telling. Today, Chef Eva is the proud owner of La Cachette du Coin Restaurant, EV Cuisine, and other culinary ventures that reflect her commitment to excellence and cultural expression.

Her guiding thought is a reflection of her life’s philosophy:

“Dedication fuels the path we choose, learning expands the vision we build, planning shapes the direction we follow, and success becomes the outcome of every step taken with purpose. Through commitment, growth, and strategy, we transform challenges into progress and progress into lasting achievement.”

Chef Eva’s story is one of courage, transformation, and the power of purpose, an inspiring testament to what dedication can create.
